Import handwritten cutting lists from a photo or scan (AI/OCR)

Add the ability to upload a photo or scan of a handwritten cutting list and have MaxCut read it with AI/OCR, then turn it into Input Items automatically. This would remove most manual data entry.

Suggested workflow:

  1. Take a photo or scan of a handwritten cutting list.
  2. Import the image into a MaxCut job.
  3. MaxCut detects part names, lengths, widths, quantities and materials where present.
  4. Review and correct the detected items in a preview before they’re added to Input Items, similar to the current CSV import preview.

Why it’s useful:

  • Saves time on jobs where lists are written by hand in the workshop or on site.
  • Reduces typing errors when transferring lists into MaxCut.
  • Several newer cutlist programs now offer this, so users increasingly expect it.
